The number of candidates running for the Yankton City Commission has doubled.
Curt Bernard, Miles Warren, and Stacy Nickels have filed their necessary nominating petitions.

Nickels has been very vocal at recent Yankton School Board meetings opposing the former mask mandate. Nickels decided to run for City Commission instead of the school board because there are other wonderful candidates running for the school board…
The three challengers will face the three incumbent commissioners-Jerry Weber, Amy Miner, and Mason Schramm-who filed earlier this month.
The city commission election will be on April 12th.
