The first candidate to file nominating petitions for an opening spot on the Yankton County Commission has emerged.
Lifelong Yankton resident Bruce Jensen has served on the city and county commission in the past and wants to serve again.

The three spots opening on the County Commission this year are currently being held by Cheri Loest, Dan Klimisch, and Joe Healy. The deadline to submit nominating petitions is March 29th for party affiliation candidates and April 26th for independent candidates.
