Judge Extends Deadline In Scotland Murder Case

Prosecutors are still deciding whether to seek the death penalty for the Scotland murder suspect.

42-year-old Francis Lange is charged with three counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder. He’s accused of going into a Scotland home with a gun in November and shooting everyone inside. Three of the victims died.

Last week, Judge Cheryle Gering extended the deadline to give the prosecutors more time to decide whether to seek the death penalty.

The next court appearance for Lange is currently scheduled in late August of this year. A jury trial is scheduled for early November.
