Some details of a two-vehicle crash west of Yankton Saturday night are finally being released.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the accident occurred at the corner of Highway 50 and Highway 314 three miles west of Yankton at 9:14 p.m. Saturday.
A 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan was northbound on Highway 314 when it ran through a stop sign and collided with a 2013 Town and Country Chrysler which was eastbound on Highway 50. The Chrysler was driven by an unidentified 73-year-old male.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says this case is still under investigation because troopers could not determine who exactly was the driver of the Grand Caravan and whether a second person may have been involved. Charges are pending against who is determined to be the driver of the Caravan.
One individual, a 21-year-old male, was transported to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital with minor injuries.
