LifeServe Blood Center provides blood for more than 120 hospitals across the tri-state area, including Avera Sacred Heart in Yankton.
As the demand increases, officials at LifeServe have announced they are opening a permeant blood donation center in Yankton.

West says an official opening date has not been determined, however, it will be before the end of February.
The blood donation center will be located at 2901 Broadway Avenue, in the strip mall next to RB Grillhouse and Sports Bar.
