Yankton Stabbing Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

A Yankton man who was arrested earlier this month for stabbing another man has pled not guilty to the charges against him.

Officers received a report of a stabbing at the 300 block of Douglas Avenue on January 17th.

The Yankton Police Department subsequently arrested 37-year-old Chad B. Elkins and he was charged with aggravated assault-bodily injury with a dangerous weapon and intentional damage to property.

Elkins plead not guilty to both of the charges in Yankton County Court Thursday. A motions hearing for Elkins has been set for June 3rd. Bond for Elkins was set at five thousand dollars case or surety.
