A pair of annual community outreach events hosted by the Yankton Police Department have been canceled this year.

Parker adds that the Yankton citizens police academy has also been canceled. The highly anticipated annual academy includes lessons about patrol procedures, 911 communications, narcotics and police dogs.
Parker is hopeful the events will return in 2023.
