Ravnsborg Probe Intensifies This Week

The probe intensifies Tuesday by the panel determining whether to recommend that the House consider impeachment of state Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg regarding the crash that killed pedestrian Joe Boever.

The House Select Committee on Investigation begins taking testimony today from South and North Dakota law enforcement officials and a Jackson, Wyoming crash reconstructionist.

Committee member Representative Ryan Cwach of Yankton says he is frustrated with the lack of transparency in the case…

He adds regardless if the committee recommends impeachment or not, more transparency is warranted…

The nine-member committee will review the evidence this week and decide whether to recommend to the full House whether Ravnsborg should be impeached for his conduct. In August, the attorney general pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors related to the accident.
