The Yankton County Commissioners reorganized for the new calendar year at their meeting Tuesday evening.
The first piece of business for the commissioners was an approval to increase jail fees to house out of county prisoners in the Yankton County Jail.

The commissioners took Sheriff Vlahakis’s recommendation and approved the fee increase.
In addition, the Commissioners voted and appointed Joe Healy as the new commission chairperson for 2022.
