Scotland House Fire Displaces Seven

A rural Scotland house fire displaced a family of seven on Sunday morning.

Scotland Volunteer Fire Department Chief Mike Mehrer says that when he arrived on scene, the house was completely engulfed in flames. The house fire was one mile north and one mile west of Scotland.

Mehrer released very little details of the fire, however, he says the cause of the fire is suspected to be electrical at this time and the house is a complete loss. The family and their pets made it out safely. No injuries were reported.

A go fund me page has been set up for the victims of the house fire- the David and Samantha Finnell family. The Scotland Youth Center is also hosting a toy drive for the family.

Donations to the family can be made at Farmers State Bank in Scotland as well.
