The city of Freeman has been awarded six hundred thousand dollars to help fund a major reconstruction of Main Street in Freeman.
The South Dakota Department of Transportation awarded Freeman the community access grant late last week.

The city of Freeman will seek bids for the reconstruction project in late January and hope to have the entire project done by November of 2022.
