The annual Yankton Kids, Cops, and Christmas event was once again a huge success for all parties involved Saturday. 55 area children were treated as VIPs at Walmart.
Yankton Police Officer Jeremy Olson was excited about the turnout this year…
Smiles would not leave the faces of the officers or the children.
Even though some children were shy when their parent brought them up to the officers, they quickly warmed up once they were able to get some one-on-one time with their new friends.
Olson described how much they enjoy this event every year…
The fun was contagious, as the cashiers and customers that were in the area got into the spirit.
Some adults even wanted Officer Olson to check his list for their names, as everyone wanted to be a kid, again.
