Hall Of Trees Opens

The 4th annual Hall of Trees at the Mead Cultural Education Center is here.

The Mead building is filled with over forty-five Christmas trees decorated by Yankton organizations and businesses. The display opened Friday in conjunction with three new holiday exhibits featuring Tonka Toys by Micah James, Snow Globes by Janet McKenzie and Vintage Quilts by the Yankton County Historical Society. 

Mead Marketing Coordinator Sara Kruse says children will receive free admission to the museum in the month of December along with treat bags and games. Santa will be visiting the museum on Saturday, December 11th from 2-4pm. 

The Mead Cultural Education Center is open Monday – Saturday from 12pm – 4pm. Extended holiday hours will include Sunday, December 5, 12 & 19 from 12pm – 4pm. Call the museum at 665-3898 with questions. 

The Mead Cultural Education Center is located at 82 Mickelson Drive in Yankton near the HSC campus.
