A multi-unit housing development in Yankton’s Lake area received first-round approval Tuesday night.
The Yankton County Commissioners approved a first reading for a conditional use permit that would pave the way for construction of eight ranch style duplex condominiums just north of Lewis and Clark Marina, west of Clark Trail Road.
The project, if they meet final approval in two weeks, is being developed by Drake Development LLC in conjunction with K Construction. Lee Rettig from K Construction says they have met all the zoning requirements…
Rettig adds that this housing development will help with the housing shortage in Yankton County…
Back in early September, this permit request was denied because it didn’t meet the county ordinance requiring at least one acre of land per dwelling.
The permit application will come before the County Commissioners for a second reading later this month.
