Yankton Man Arrested Following Overnight Car Burglaries

Another wrath of vandalism occurred in Yankton early Thursday morning.

Yankton Police Chief Jason Foote says that shortly after 6:00 AM, officers were called to the 400 block of Burleigh Street for a report of multiple vehicle burglaries.

Foote says during investigation, it was determined that a total of four vehicles had been entered, two by physical force by throwing a large rock through the vehicle.

Foote says two of the vehicles sustained approximately three hundred fifty dollars in damage and there was an estimated fifty-six dollars in items stolen from these vehicles.

After investigating camera footage, the investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Henry Red Bear of Yankton for multiple counts of aggravated criminal entry of a motor vehicle and criminal entry of a motor vehicle.
