Monday Accident Near Lesterville Sends Two To Hospital

Two individuals received minor injuries in a one vehicle car accident east of Lesterville Monday afternoon.

According to Yankton County Chief Deputy Michael Rothschadl, a 2017 Grey Dodge Grand Caravan was being driven by 77-year-old Patricia Pommerville of Lesterville. She was traveling westbound on 300th Street at the intersection of 434th Avenue shortly before 5:00 PM and attempted to miss a deer crossing the road.

Pommerville went into the north ditch striking a stop sign and a pole. Pommerville along with an unidentified juvenile female were transported to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
