Yankton County reported a new death related to COVID-19.
According to the South Dakota Department of Health, Thursday’s reported death was the county’s 37th overall.
South Dakota recorded nine new deaths Thursday. The state finished September with seventy-three COVID-related deaths, the largest monthly toll since February.
Yankton County recorded four new positive tests Thursday, however, the number of active cases dropped to one hundred eleven. One new hospitalization was also reported, which was the tenth posted for Yankton County in September.
