It’s Homecoming Week at Yankton High School with the 2021 theme Pioneer Days. This year marks the 96th annual homecoming celebration.

From the royalty a “Pioneer Prince” and “Pioneer Princess” will be selected. YHS Student Council and Pioneer Club are excited for the 2021 homecoming events. Thursday at 5:00 pm is the YHS Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet in the YHS Commons. Thursday evening at 7:00 pm is Coronation of the “Pioneer Prince” and “Pioneer Princess” in the Yankton HS Main Gym. The MCs are Sydnee Serck and Elsie Larson. This will be followed by the traditional burning of the “Y” in the back Parking Lot on the Southwest side of Yankton High School.
Friday will be the Parade at 2:30 PM. The parade will start at the Meridian Bridge and run west along Riverside Drive and Cedar north to 3rd street, east on 3rd St until Mulberry Street.
