Freeman Firefighters Battled Structure Fire Wednesday

The Freeman Fire Department responded to a structure fire early Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were called to Dakota Rendering one mile east of Freeman around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

They were dispatched after a shop with a wood frame and steel sheeting caught fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but the contents of the building included waste oil drums and propane tanks. The building is a total loss.

The fire department was on the scene until around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
