The Yankton Police Department is investigating an abduction attempt that occurred Wednesday afternoon.
According to Yankton Police Corporal Brad Parker, two adult males in a dark grey Chevrolet Traverse with Texas license plates attempted to lure a seventeen-year-old female into their vehicle.
Parker says officers responded to an unidentified location along Broadway Avenue and attempted to locate the vehicle. The vehicle left the area prior to law enforcement arrival.
Parker adds that the female did not go with the males and left the area with a family member immediately after the alleged incident. At this time the vehicle has not been located in Yankton.
