A Yankton man charged with embezzling over one hundred thousand dollars from the local VFW Post is expected to enter a change of plea in court later this week.
34-year-old Colin Reisner will appear in Yankton County Circuit Court Thursday morning for a change of plea hearing.
Back in early June, Reisner plead not guilty to alleged embezzlement from the VFW Post 791 of Yankton. A jury trial for Reisner was scheduled for Sept. 13th, but that has been canceled.
Reisner had served as the VFW Post’s quartermaster, or treasurer, during the time of the alleged theft of funds.
According to court documents, Reisner allegedly took money from Ernest Bowyer VFW Post 791 between August of 2017 and April of 2021.
