One local school district is conducting online learning only this week.
According to Santee School District Superintendent Todd Chessmore, the school district in Niobrara Nebraska is conducting virtual learning all this week through online platforms and packets.
Chessmore says the district is going virtual as a proactive measure due to the potential of a COVID outbreak in the community due to some potential super spreader events. He says the plan is to return to the regular school schedule on Tuesday, August 31st.
During this time there will be no athletic practices until Monday evening, August 30th and all athletes will need to be screened before practicing.
