Dirt work for the proposed hotel in the parking lot of the Yankton Mall started in late 2017 but came to a halt when the snow arrived. Slowey Management took over leadership on the project last year.
The 72-room Fairfield Inn & Suites will have an indoor pool, guest laundry, a fitness room, meeting space and a breakfast area. The Yankton location will be developed under the name Frontier Lodging of Yankton.
