Yankton firefighters battled a car fire Thursday afternoon that prompted the closure a road for an hour.
The Yankton Fire Department was called to the area of 435th Avenue and Kaiser Road west of Yankton just after 4:30 PM for a report of a vehicle fire.
Yankton Assistant Fire Chief Larry Nickels says firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire, and no injuries were reported.
He says the cause was determined to be a problem with the fuel pump.
The Yankton County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the fire.
