Gayville Curve Targeted By State DOT

Gayville Curve Targeted By State DOT

The Yankton County Commissioners this week briefly discussed possible changes to the road just north of Gayville near the city cemetery.

The road’s curve is a target by the South Dakota Department of Transportation due to there being a number of accidents there in recent years.

Yankton County Highway Superintendent Mike Sedlaek says the state DOT would like to turn the intersection into a three way stop…

Sedlacek questioned the need for a complete intersection change…

After some discussion, the commissioners decided to get the opinions of the Gayville and Volin town board, and will revisit the topic at their next meeting in August.
