Yankton Man Leads Highway Patrol On Pursuit

A Yankton man led the South Dakota Highway Patrol on a pursuit Monday afternoon.

According to South Dakota Highway Patrol Spokesman Tony Mangan, the pursuit started at 1:33 Monday afternoon on SD Highway 50-mile marker 368. A Highway Patrol trooper initiated a traffic stop on a 2002 Buick LeSabre for a minor traffic offense. The vehicle would not stop for the trooper.

The pursuit went through the towns of Tabor and Scotland before stopping at the intersection of 294th Street and 416th Avenue in northeast Bon Homme County west of Scotland.

39-year-old Jason Frazier of Yankton was the driver of the vehicle and subsequently was arrested. Charges against Frazier are pending with the Bon Homme County State’s Attorney.

According to court documents, Frazier had multiple warrants out for his arrest in Yankton County.
