After forty-seven years of public service in law enforcement across the country, Yankton Police Chief John Harris officially retired on Friday.
Harris started his law enforcement career in Tucson, Arizona in 1973 and took on the Police Chief position in Yankton in July of 2018.

Harris says he is leaving the department in great hands…
Harris will be retiring to Wyoming to help his brother on the ranch. He will be spending a great time hunting and fishing too.
