Approximately 400 customers on the south side of Yankton were without power for a time Thursday morning.
According to Northwestern Energy Spokesman Tom Glanzer, a squirrel in the city substation caused the outage which spanned about forty minutes.
Glanzer says the interruption was confined to the downtown Yankton area.
