A swastika engraved into a Yankton utility pole was discovered Sunday morning. The utility pole is in the five hundred block of east 5th Street.
According to Yankton Police Department Corporal Brad Parker, it’s unclear exactly when the vandalism occurred. He says their department received the vandalism report Sunday morning shortly after ten am.
Parker adds something like this is tough, because they have no leads and no cameras in the area. However, their department will continue to investigate the damage.
The swastika is on a utility pole owned by Northwestern Energy, whom have been contacted by the Yankton Police Department.
