Former VFW Treasurer Pleads Not Guilty

The former treasurer of the Yankton VFW Post 791 has pleaded not guilty.

37-year-old Colin Reisner has been charged with Aggravated Grand Theft for allegedly embezzling 100-thousand to 500-thousand dollars from the VFW Post. 

 

The charge carries a maximum punishment of 15 years in state prison and a $30,000 fine. 

 

A jury trial has been scheduled for September 13th. If convicted, the grand theft charge carries a maximum sentence of fifteen years in prison and a thirty thousand dollar fine.
