Yankton County will receive over four-point-four million dollars under the American Rescue Plan approved in Congress this year.
Yankton County Commission chair Cheri Loest told the Board last night they could receive half of these funds very soon.
Loest says the money needs to be matched up with pandemic losses, and a portion could be spent on road and bridge repair next year.
After discussing the issue of masking with department heads, the Yankton County Commission agreed last night that the mask mandate signs can be removed from the County Government Center.
