Cody Lukkes will be the new principal at Stewart Elementary School for the next school year.
Lukkes says being familiar with the school district helps with a smooth transition.
Lukkes says he’s ready to try some new ideas in the school and his experience with the staff and community will be essential.
This summer, Lukkes replaces Jerome Klimisch at Stewart School principal. Klimisch will become the new Director of Student Services in the Yankton School District.
