This year’s Yankton Riverboat Days was highlighted before the Optimist Club baseball game Thursday night at the Riverside Ballpark.
Riverboat Days co-chair John Kraft says they are excited to announce country star JoDee Messina as the featured Friday night entertainment. Messina has had six number-one singles and Kraft says she will put on a good performance.
Brooke Devine and Reese Garry were the finalists for the Riverboat Days coloring contest, which will be featured on the T-Shirts and billboards. Sacred Heart School fifth-grader Reese Garry was the winner and described her design to the theme of Hometown Heroes.
Tom and LeeAnn Rockne were introduced as the Captain and Belle for the 37th celebration of Yankton Riverboat Days, which will be held August 20 – 22..
