The Yankton City Commission held a work session Monday to discuss components of their Medical Cannabis Ordinance.
Yankton City Attorney Ross Den Herder says the commission agreed that two dispensaries will be allowed in Yankton based on its market size and security needed.
Den Herder says applications for medical marijuana dispensaries will first go to the City of Yankton and then to the State.
Yankton City Manager Amy Leon says they will schedule a first reading of the Ordinance for May 24th and a second reading for June 14th.
