The Yankton County Historic Preservation Commission honored long-time Board member Ken Jones at their quarterly meeting this week.
Jones says he is proud of what the group has done since being formed seven years ago in Yankton County.
Bernie Hunhoff chairs the Historic Preservation Commission and says Ken Jones has been a real force to preserve the Mead Building and history in Yankton.
The Commission is discussing some type of Historic Marker at the corner of Third and Walnut, where President’s William McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt both spoke to crowds while visiting South Dakota.
