A 50-year-old Nebraska man has been found guilty in the case of Phyllis Hunhoff of Yankton, who was kidnapped and later killed in November 2018 on the Santee Sioux Reservation in Knox County.

Ramon Simpson was convicted Wednesday in a federal courtroom in Omaha after being charged with Kidnapping Resulting in Death and Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping.

Simpson was taken into custody of the U-S Marshals Service and he faces a maximum of life in prison when he’s sentenced on June 30.
