Springtime brings on many outdoor activities including baseball. Riverside Field has always been very busy, but the advent of the field turf and improved lighting recently has elevated the use of the ballpark overlooking the Missouri River.
Mount Marty University baseball coach Andy Bernatow says the turf has been holding up well on the field at Bob Tereshinski Stadium.
Bernatow says they improved the drainage at the ballpark this year.
Before the pandemic, Riverside Field typically hosted around 240 baseball games each year along with hundreds of practices for teams ranging from youth through high school, college and amateur players.
