The Yankton City Commission held a work session this week to explore the medical cannabis issue.
Yankton City Manager Amy Leon says the Commission discussed general parameters for implementation regarding medical marijuana establishments.
Leon says Yankton City staff will take the input and put together a draft of an ordinance for another work session on April 26th.
The City Commission is still working with an overall deadline of July 1st as designated by the South Dakota State Legislature.
