The City of Yankton is moving forward with a transfer of 34 acres of land in Nebraska to the National Park Service.
Yankton Mayor Nathan Johnson says the City has been working on this for the past couple of years with the Park Service.
Johnson says the National Park Service is hoping to make this transfer happen and provide extra amenities to those who use the land.
The Yankton City Commission has approved a Resolution for the transfer of these 34 acres of land to the National Park Service.
