Yankton County reported four new positive tests of COVID-19 over the weekend and now has 41 active cases of the virus. Clay County had five new infections this weekend and has 26 active cases.
There were five fatalities linked to the coronavirus reported this weekend in South Dakota where the death toll now totals 1,912. Union County confirmed a death from COVID-19 this weekend, which is their 40th overall and first since February 3rd. There are 64 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19 in South Dakota, and there are 2,157 active cases in the state.
There have now been over one million COVID tests administered in the state of South Dakota.
The death toll is now 2,127 in the state of Nebraska after three fatalities were added to the total this weekend. There are 120 people hospitalized with the virus in Nebraska which is the lowest number in nearly seven months.
