The 100 Women of Yankton group held their seventh distribution meeting last week to contribute over ten-thousand dollars to a local organization.
Organizing committee member Kristi Tacke says since they began in 2018, there are now many more than one hundred women involved.
Heartland Humane Society was awarded this year’s semi-annual contribution, and Tacke says Heartland Humane helps more than just animals.
The Heartland Humane Society will receive at least $13,800, and Tacke says the 100 Women group has now given well over one-hundred thousand dollars to Yankton organizations.
