Along with being the deadline for introducing bills, this week marks the half-way point in the 2021 session of the South Dakota Legislature.
District 18 Representative Ryan Cwach says due to COVID 19 the state capitol is a quieter place than usual with fewer bills being introduced this year.
Cwach says COVID 19 has had an impact on his daily routine.
Cwach says since they contain requirements for funding, he expects an uphill battle to get his bills on access to mental health services for first responders to Governor Noem’s desk.
At the end of this week, the 2021South Dakota legislative session will be at its halfway point.
