The increase in enrollment of international students at Mount Marty University is no accident, the school has made a conscious effort to open their doors to students from abroad.
Director of Careers & International Support Services Ashley Dimmer says that increase is a result of a combination of outreach from the school’s athletic department paired with simplifying the enrollment process for international students.
Dimmer says a key factor in maintaining international students at Mount Marty has been to provide them ongoing support throughout their time on campus.
Dimmer says with internet platforms such as Zoom, international students are able to connect with people at Mount Marty before arriving in Yankton.
Dimmer says there are currently over forty international students from twenty-two countries studying at Mount Marty.
