While the focus on expanding broadband internet service capability and recreational opportunities throughout the state was welcome news during this week’s State of State address, the lack of direction on South Dakota’s healthcare issues was a disappointment to one District 18 lawmaker.
Representative Ryan Cwach says he disagrees with Governor Noem’s assessment of South Dakota’s effort against the COVID 19 pandemic.
Cwach says while he supports expanding internet service throughout the state, making sure that the one hundred million dollars proposed by the Governor will effectively address the issue needs to be a priority.
Cwach says increasing health care costs is an issue that state government should be addressing.
Cwach says Governor Noem’s focus on South Dakota’s tourism industry and finding ways to increase outdoor recreational opportunities for residents were both positives in her address.
