The Yankton School Board accepted the resignations Monday evening of two long-time local educators, Yankton High School Principal Jennifer Johnke and Director of Student Services Kathy Wagner.
Johnke says she has spent the last twenty years working at her dream job.
Wagner says the Yankton School District is filled with employees who truly care about the students.
School Board member Kathy Greeneway says the contributions that both Johnke and Wagner have made to the Yankton School District have been significant and will be missed.
To help prevent the spread of COVID 19, at Monday’s night’s meeting, the Yankton School Board also took action to extend the requirement that masks be worn in the classroom through the end of this school year.
