The local community has been challenged by former Sioux Falls Mayor and Yankton native Mike Huether to help make sure that anyone regardless of age or income is able to utilize the Huether Family Aquatic Center after it opens this spring by supporting the Guppy Grant program.
Huether says it is important that no barriers exist to keep people from enjoying the new aquatic center.
Huether says one method for raising dollars for the Guppy Grant program will be to auction off a number of first-time events at the new facility.
Huether says the Huether Family Foundation is contributing ten thousand dollars to begin the fund-raising campaign.
Huether says people are also able to support the Guppy Grant program by purchasing and donating individual passes to the new aquatic center.
