The U.S. Geological Survey has reported that a three-point-one magnitude earthquake was registered near the Bon Homme County community of Tyndall Monday morning.
The USGS earthquake notification system reported the quake occurred about three-and-a-half miles north northeast of Tyndall shortly before 9 AM local time and was located about three miles underneath the earth’s crust.
According to the USGS website, a number of people have reported they felt the quake.
The USGS says an earthquake of this magnitude is usually felt by several people with the vibrations resembling a truck passing by.
Earthquakes between magnitudes two and three have weak shakings and usually no damage occurs.
