The Lewis and Clark Marina west of Yankton will be undergoing a major expansion over the next two years.
South Dakota Parks & Recreation Deputy Director Al Nedved says the current Marina facilities are getting old and outdated.
Nedved says the nearly seven-million dollar project will bring new docks to the Lewis and Clark Marina.
Nedved says the new marina will have a larger capacity for all types of watercraft.
Nedved says this project will add over one hundred slips for watercraft to the Lewis and Clark Marina.
There will be construction work done early this spring, and then the total project should be completed by the spring of 2022.
