Yankton County reported 25 new positive tests for COVID-19 on Thursday, and now has 664 active cases. There were also two deaths locally linked to the coronavirus and Yankton County has a total of 17 fatalities from COVID-19. As of yesterday at noon, there have now been a total of 100 people hospitalized with the virus in Yankton.
The statewide death toll from the coronavirus stands at 1,177 in South Dakota after 30 more fatalities were added yesterday. There are 491 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in the state.
There were 35 additional deaths from the virus yesterday in the state of Nebraska, including the fourth fatality in Cedar County. On Thursday, there were 25 new positive tests for COVID-19 in Cedar County and 33 new infections in Knox County.
The state of Iowa confirmed 99 additional fatalities related to the coronavirus and the death toll has surged to 3,120 in the Hawkeye state.
