With a few changes from past years, the Yankton Police Department is hosting their annual Kids, Cops and Christmas event again this holiday season.
One change from previous year’s events is that instead of taking the children shopping for their gifts, police officers will be doing the shopping for them.
Corporal Brad Parker says parents whose children wish to participate in the program should obtain a registration form from the Yankton Police Department.
With interest in the program high this year, Parker says funds for the gifting program are limited.
Parker says donations to the program are welcomed.
Parker says gifts received through the Kids, Cops and Christmas program will be delivered during the week of December 21st.
